Dear Coach Dave,
I know I have said this to you before, but you are priceless.
Derek shared with me your words of encouragement and he feels so lucky to have you in his life. So do we. As a parent, your mentoring my child means the world. Derek thinks highly of you and I truly appreciate your good role modeling.I guess it's true, it does take a village to raise a child.
Thanks for being part of our village 😃

Dave and I have worked hard together on improving my game -- he’s willing to work as hard as I am, matching my desire to really learn to play golf. He never gives up. He’s got a gift for being able to see the swing (although he makes good use of technology to show you what he sees) and is very creative and energetic in finding ways to get you to see and feel a swing with which you can play confidently and consistently.
I remember Johnny Miller saying Dave built his swing the way players like Ben Hogan build swings – from the ground up, almost “home made”. He’s always taken the sameDave a care in working with me to help me build my swing – not a cookie cutter approach.
In addition to time spent with Dave on the range and the other practice areas at Teal Bend, I have also benefitted greatly from our playing lessons – gaining an understanding on how to take what’s learned on the range to the course.
Golf can often be an integral part of my work. It offers an opportunity to spend time with colleagues and others in my field. While it was once “work”, I now play golf with greater feel, confidence and consistency. My association with Dave has helped me to really enjoy playing golf. I highly recommend you consider getting together with David to improve your skill-level and learn to play golf in way that will bring you as much enjoyment as the game can.

“Before going to Dave Carr I was a 24 handicap but with Dave’s instruction I’m now down to a 14 index. Dave’s teaching improved everything in my game from tee to green. I’m hitting so many more fairways and greens and my short game improvement has been dramatic. I don’t fear bunkers anymore and I’m knocking it stiff from the sand or just about anywhere off the green.”
“More importantly, beating my golf buddies and having them tell me how nice my swing looks is priceless. I now have to give them strokes. Golf isn’t just fun again, it’s a blast! My only regret is that I didn’t sign up for Dave’s game improvement lessons sooner.”
“Dave Carr’s on-course instruction lessons have been invaluable. They’ve helped me execute the great variety of shots a golfer needs to be successful. I feel more in control on any course and my mental approach is dialed-in. I can figure out my errors if I have a make a bad swing when I’m playing and make the changes necessary to get back on track.”

“I have worked with Dave Carr as my golf instructor on and off over the past 7 years as needed. Dave has been a very reliable resource and able to relay the golf swing principles to me in a simple way that makes sense. Dave believes and understands that there is not one golf swing that has to work for everyone. Dave has a great sense of humor and makes golf instruction a fun, positive and rewarding experience. The best part of working with Dave has been the improvement in my golf game. My handicap has dropped by over 10 strokes since I started working with Dave. Based on my experiences I would highly recommend Dave Carr.”

“I met Dave Carr during a group lesson. I liked his style of instruction and coaching so much I signed up for a year’s worth of individual lessons. During that year, he helped me not only improve my game but find the right equipment for me to be successful. He did not, like many, try to tear me down and rebuild me. Instead he worked with what I already had; slowly tweaking me, to where I can now enjoy consistency in my game. Since that year I have sent others to Dave for the same kind of professional care he gave me. All have sung his praise.”

I first started playing golf about 3 years ago at the urging of friends and family. I played about 8 months (hacked at the ball is a better description) and decided to take a few lessons to learn the game. Well, I found that there are lots of “golf instructors” out there. After several unsuccessful attempts with “golf instructors” and a lot of frustration on my part, my brother-in-law referred me to Dave Carr, the Teaching Pro at Teal Bend Golf Course. After my first one hour lesson with Dave, I realized that I had truly met a “Teacher of the Game of Golf”. Dave possesses the unique ability to look at each player/student, identify flaws and strong points and then explain them so you can understand and visualize each point. This has taught me how to make the proper corrections to my game. I have gone from a 22 handicap to a 15 handicap since I started taking lessons with Dave. If you want lessons from golf instructors, there are plenty out there. If you want to be taught how to play golf, then Dave Carr is your guy!

Dave Carr has been our golf guru, friend and biggest supporter in
our quest for fun and improvement. As a beginning golfer, my husband has learned to love the game in a way that I would never have anticipated and my own intermediate status has improved by leaps and bounds. Dave has been the first to make the concept of the lesson informative as well as fun. I have worked with many pros, never with any significant gain or change. Dave certainly changed all of that. I have particularly liked the fact that he tunes in to what I am thinking and makes comments in ways that make sense to me. Being a perfectionist with a more of a scientific approach to things, I love the friendly, knowledge based logic
with specific examples and drills that fit me personally. He truly tailors his teaching and style to the individual. The lessons we have taken together are a testimony to that fact as we do have very different needs and learning styles.

Dave Carr is the reason I love golf. I had never picked up a club, and hetaught me the fundamentals - made it simple, kept it fun, giving me apowerful base to work from so I always feel like I'm improving. I entered my first tournament only 8 months after my first lesson with Dave, and I won the women's longest drive! He has an uncanny ability to diagnose the issues with my swings, and he helps me find the right thought to put in my head to make it better. After a lesson with Dave, I always feel completely
energized and inspired about golf! Thanks, Dave, you're the BEST!
